La Leccia farm is located in the hills of Val di Botte, near Montespertoli, in the heart of Tuscany and Chianti.

"A familiar story that originates from this land, develops and returns to the land out of a simple sense of gratitude, dignity and respect."

A 100-year history

The cooperage is by definition the space in which barrels are put to rest, keeping the temperature constant to age the wine naturally and gently.
In this project, the barrels are the key element that accompanies the visitor through the entire history of wine, from the moment of harvest until the moment of tasting.

The environment is intimate, cozy; the soft lighting makes the space pleasant and breathing making the underground location one of the strengths of the project.

In the tasting area, outdoor overlooks soften the rooms.
The generating element is a large masonry counter clad in corten around which all activities come to life.

The heat of matter

The tones recall those of earth and wine.
The materials used are mainly natural or treated to look like it: concrete, reminiscent of newer barrels, is repurposed and reinterpreted in color and texture, as is metal for which a warm corten is chosen.

The cocciopesto technique is used for the floor, and the wall finishes, which alternate with exposed brick, are also treated with natural materials.

Shared values

A further key to interpretation should be given by the choice of the realities involved: the enhancement of the territory and the search for the quality of made in Italy is the common thread throughout the project; from finishes, to textiles, to details, a meticulous selection of realities that fully reflect the philosophy of the Farm.
